#267 on Skyline

Postby DancesWithTheMountains » Tue Apr 10, 2012 6:05 pm

Hi Everyone,
Its been a long time since I have been on the message board. Did
my #267 on Sat on Skyline with Jack, Catherine and Jack's Daughter.
It was a great day, but, the best part of it was hearing that Andie Hollinger
was back on the trail. Andy, Scott, Doug and myself are the original
skyliners. The only person missing was Cy. I know he was with us in
spirit. It was like the old days when we ruled that mountain! See you
all soon.

Thats terrific Doreen. 8) I am with you in spirit. You are so lucky to be so close to the trailhead. I have connected with lots of Skyline addicts on Facebook :) My blog also keeps me busy, but I still hike every day locally.

Here is a video of a bear that became unbearable :)

Howdy Doreen the Skyline Queen :)

Woo hoo -- congratulations 8) I always love seeing you on Skyline. Occaisonally, other hikers ask if I'm you, which is the best compliment I could ever receive.

Miles of smiles,

Nice work Doreen, glad you had a fun trip. Sorry I missed you I was up there Sunday. Been going back down Tram rd. on foot like you do.....don't know how you do that all the time because that hurts!

Hi Doreen! Congrats, that's an amazing number of times, especially since you are out doing other trails too...I remember talking to you over on San Gorgonio not too long ago. What a blessing to have these wonderful wilderness areas right here in our own backyard, huh? Hope to see you out there soon.

Fern: Are you turning into Dean Karnazes? Let me guess, you run 35 miles to the base of Skyline, do Skyline, tightrope walk down the tram cables when no one is looking, then run back down the tram road and run 35 miles home. Am I right?

Congrats Doreen! Not sure if you or Cy have the record now, but I think Fern is after it... I still wonder how you can walk down the tram road after Skyline. That would make me sore.
