not to start anything, cy, but...the "forecaster" is the infamous kevin martin.

it seems like they would have sprung for a meteorologist--or just "borrowed" the nws forecast. on the other hand, their weather site was pretty poor before, so maybe it will be an improvement...

From the SGWA Board today:

Hey all. Came to say goodbye till I decide to take the trails on those mountains.

I now work for the PStramway.com site, integrating my site with theirs, I am their new meteorologist and the weather center can be found on their site at PStramway.com weather and cam section.

So with that being said, there is a contract I must hold a professional attitude while on it, so without saying a word more I won't be replying to negative comments, but will be back when I do decide to take my first trail up those mountains.

For now... HI! from Mt. San Jacinto Wilderness!

Looks like they even have a video forecast that shows Mr. Martin. Look at the new sinking air model on that video.

he has no formal education, so he's not a meteorologist (although he plays one on the internet).

again, not starting anything--just sayin'...

He's also known to make up new identities and do commercials for himself on websites. (See above post for blatant example.)

Odd. But if he's having fun and not spoiling message boards (ahem!) with goofy pretend posts, then speculating about the weather is no crime.

Kevin, you really must be more subtle.
